A USA Gymnastics member club, Sandi’s focus is to provide an element of gymnastics fun and education to children of all ages starting in pre-school – from tumbling to competitive gymnastics training, and her studio is the practice facility for the UNA Cheer Squad and provides lessons for aspiring cheerleaders.
“Here at Geronimo we strive to create an atmosphere of safe, assertive gymnastics education and training by providing professional teachers and coaches, proper equipment, an ample choice of scheduling and a wholesome family oriented environment. We feel by growing in the sport of Gymnastics, solid in the basics both mentally and physically a child retains a level of confidence and self esteem that carries over into adulthood.”
Sandi believes that for all our history we are a “youthful place” that is centrally located:
”The Shoals has a 7,000+student university so it is also a ‘college town’ while also offering music, plays, sports, festivals, and we are centrally located between larger cities such as Atlanta, Birmingham, Nashville & Memphis. Access to them, either by car in a couple hours or by catching a local flight which gets you to Atlanta in an hour, gives us the charm of our towns but access to almost anything in a half-day.”
Husband Audwin Pierre McGee is a well-respected and talented sculptor, painter, and designer who also enjoys reading and writing.
When not working Sandi is usually enjoying the outdoors and her favorite memories include spending many days as a youngster on Cypress Creek. Sandi loves the fall, “but it is hard to beat the summers on the river.”
